William August Strohmeyer

Willam August Strohmeyer, age 70, of Mauston, Wisconsin died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Per his wishes, no services are planned.

William was born November 12, 1947 in Elgin, Illinois to Henry William and Virginia (Boehning) Strohmeyer. He married Margaret Ann Popp on November 30, 1968 at St. Peter’s Church in Shennington, Wisconsin.

William enjoyed taking rides on his homemade trike which he made himself, helping his friends with their mechanical problems, and making his own creations in his workshop.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Virginia Strohmeyer.

Son: Scott Strohmeyer of Mauston, Wisconsin
Daughter: April Strohmeyer of Mauston, Wisconsin
Son: Matthew Strohmeyer of Mauston, Wisconsin

    So sorry for your loss. “Billy” was a good employee and friend when he worked at Preston Equipment in Mauston. His mechanical skills and sage advice were well appreciated. He was a good man. His friendship continued well past his employment. I admired his “trike” that he built, he was a great mechanic and will be missed by many.
