Virginia M. Nawrot “Ginny”,

Virginia M. Nawrot “Ginny”, age 82, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Friday, March 10, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Brian Schmidt will officiate. Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Virginia was born March 4, 1935 in Evanston, Illinois to Henry and Juliette (Krause) Kottke. She attended school in Palatine, Illinois and later went to Beauty school while raising her children. Ginny married Harry J. Nawrot on July 17, 1950 in Cook County, Illinois. Together they raised their 6 children. She owned and operated Magic Touch Beauty Salon in Palatine for several years before opening a shop in her home so she could spend more time with her family. In 1968 Ginny and Harry moved to Friendship, Ginny was the initiator of the move. Together they started the family business, Dependable Concrete, in Friendship, Wisconsin.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, talking with friends and family on the phone. She loved gardening and painting until she was no longer able to. Ginny raised Maltese puppies and loved all her dogs. She was a brownie leader which she put her heart and soul into. She loved organizing parties and having get togethers. Ginny was always the first one out on the dance floor, she continued to love music her entire live. Her sister, Alice and her were members of the youth choir at church and sang together often. She was a member of the bowling league, Dependable Const. of Adams-Friendship.

Ginny will be remembered for her giving and comforting nature, her wonderful sense of humor, her generosity and love of helping others, and her amazing gift of storytelling. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband and all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Juliette Kottke; Infant son, Randy Scott Nawrot; 9 brothers, sisters, and several in-laws.
