Violet May Hicks

Violet May Hicks, age 88, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin died Monday, May 30, 2016 at her son’s home in Oxford, Wisconsin.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Rev. Richard Eberly will officiate.

Violet was born May 4, 1928 in Wisconsin to Floyd and Alice (Northway) Day. She married Frank
D. Hicks on October 6th, 1947 in White Creek. The couple lived in Grand Marsh.

Violet enjoyed drawing, making yard ornaments, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Alice Day; brothers: Vern, Carl, Bob and Edwin; daughter, Mary Moore; son, Albert Hicks; daughter, Linda Prutzman; daughter, Lisa Kopstein; and great-grandson, Jasper Kopstein.

    Violet was a wonderful person; always happy and kind to all who entered her home. It has always amazed me the things she could accomplish in a day with a house full of people. I have so many fond memories of spending time in Violets kitchen. My heart goes out to the entire family. God Bless.

    I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Violet and of her gentle nature. Except for those times when we rode our bikes through her lillies, yikes. Her spirit has been sent free.
