Verle C. Ostrander

Verle C. Ostrander, age 77, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Monday, July 17, 2017, at her home.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the Townline Cemetery, 3153 State Hwy 13. Pastor Craig Wolfgram will officiate.

Verle was born August 10, 1939, in Madison, Wisconsin to Christian and Elizabeth (Scheele) Lang.

She attended Madison and Middleton Schools graduating from Middleton in 1957.

Verle married Orville E. Ostrander on November 16, 1957 in Madison, Wisconsin.

She worked at CUNA Mutual for 34 years.

Verle’s love of music prompted her to start a choir at CUNA and was the director for many years. Her love of music started at an early age with accordion lessons at the age of five. In school, she played the saxophone. Verle was a soloist at church for many years.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, collecting antiques, karaoke, gardening, crafting, cake decorating, sewing, and card making.

Verle was a member of White Shrine Madison where she was a past Worthy High Priestess.

Verle was preceded in death by her parents, Christian & Elizabeth Lang; grandson, Michael Ostrander; brothers-in-law, Merle Ostrander; Richard Ostrander and Raymond Harcus.

Granddaughter: Cassandra (Benjamin Jeanty) Onderbeke of Kiel, Wisconsin
