Ruthann Thomas
Ruthanne “Ruthie” E. Thomas, age 74, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin following a brief illness.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Richard Eberly will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery in Friendship at a later date.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Ruthie was born September 7, 1942 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to Alfonso and Mary Greenwood. She worked at Farnum, Inn of the Pines, and Pappa’s Pizza. She was also a homemaker, and participated in the PTA when her children were young.
She was loved by her family and her friends – which she had a lot of because of her willingness to help anyone she could and because of her generous heart
Ruthanne was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso & Mary Greenwood; sister, Patricia Greenwood; grandson, Keven; and nephew, Raymond Brunner.

Son: Michael (Jacci) Erickson of Arkdale, Wisconsin
Son: Christopher Stone of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
four grandchildren Alexandra and Emily Garcia of Texas andRoni and Junior Erickson of Arkdale, Wisconsin
two great-grandchildren: Gavin and Grant of Texas
Sister: Jeanie (Bill) Hollingsworth of Monroe, Wisconsin
Sister: Rose (Bruce) Granger of Cornucopia, Wisconsin
niece: Jelayne (Steve) Underwood of Monroe, Wisconsin
niece: Susan Brunner of Adams, Wisconsin
Niece: Mary (Theron) Burnett of Appleton, Wisconsin
Nephew: Robert Fierek of Schaumburg, Illinois
Nephew: John Colliers of Browntown, Wisconsin
Nephew: Dan (Amy) Hollingsworth of Poulsbo, Washington

jacci and mike just heard the sad news about your mom the greenwood family on 20th were good friends of my family when we lived on the riverbottoms but never knew what happened to the girls I used to play with so sad that you learn when it is too late my sincerest sympathy to everyone pat yuszcak jodarski

Mike, Jacci and family. So very sorry to see Ruth’s passing. She was the sweetest lady, always a smile on her face and a kind word. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
Ruthy will be missed I knew her for many years. My mom Pat Lueth knew her and many good times .She’s up in heaven now no more pain or sorrow.

Ruthanne will truly be missed . We who worked with her are truly devistated. I spent much of twenty plus years working with her. She was compassionate to the needs of others, forgoing the needs of herself.
Ruthanne was always smiling and always had time to say hello. She was a very nice person & will be missed by all who knew her. She was also a very hard working woman. May she rest in peace. Our hearts & prayers are with all her family.

My condolences to the family. Aunt Ruth was such a lovely and kind hearted woman. Always enjoyed seeing her and talking with her, especially when she use to work at Papa’s Pizza. She is well loved and will be greatly missed.

What a wonderful woman Ruthanne was. I was shocked when I recieved the call about her passing. Ruthanne was a hard working woman with such determination. She was a classmate of my late husband, Olson, and he always spoke of her with admiration for her strength. Mike, Jackie, Ronnie and Jr., may you all be comforted by the Great Spirit and our Heavenly Father above. My sympathy to Ruthanne’s entire family.
My mom was a very strong woman full of life and determination would help anyone and give an ear to listen. We the family thank you for your kind words during this hard and difficult time..she will be missed by many

Ruthie was amazing. She will be missed by so many. I remember all the energy she had and all the water fights and food fights Tim and I had with her. Her heart may have been sore but it was big and full of joy.
