Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home
in Friendship, Wisconsin. Her dear friend Dick Charles will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Rose was born June 5, 1929 in Portage, Wisconsin to Edgar and Harriett Kleist. She married Sidney Oakes on June 24, 1950 in Portage, Wisconsin.
Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, and reading.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar & Harriett Kleist; husband, Sidney Oakes; son, Michael Oakes; five brothers, and one sister.
Survivors:
Daughter: Linda (special friend Jerry) Clark of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin
Son: Richard (Mary) Oakes of Montello, Wisconsin
Daughter: Kathy (Charlie) Zigler of Chicago, Illinois
nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law

I’m so very sorry to hear that rose passed away. I loved rose I was her caregigtyears but to me she was more than a resident she was a great friend and more like a grandmother to me. I left the residences but I did call and talk with rose a coupel of times!!! Rose I will continue to tell my secrets to you?

We are so sorry to learn of Aunt Rose’s passing. We sure had good times with her and Uncle Sid at the family picnics.
Rose and Sid were very good friends of my parents and of ours. Please know that besides your Dad (Sid) welcoming her into heaven, my Mom (Eleanor Bubolz who died six years ago today 8/10/10) was also there to greet her. They probably have a lot to catch up on. I know she will be missed.

Since Jan 2009 it has been my pleasure and privilege to serve as Rose’s pastor. At our last communion visit we sang Amazing Grace. She was a gentle, Christian woman who now is singing with the angels with her Savior Jesus in heaven.
