Rory Widmar

Rory J. Widmar, age 56, of Friendship, Wisconsin died peacefully at his home on December 28, 2016.

He was born January 7, 1960 to Carl and Harriet Widmar Jr. in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was educated in Kenosha Schools, graduating from Tremper High School in 1978. He was employed by American Motors Corporation in Kenosha as a paint repairman, then served in the U.S Amy reserves. Rory later moved to Adams-Friendship Wisconsin and was employed by the State of Wisconsin Correctional Institution as a culinary supervisor. Due to health issues, he retired from the New Lisbon Correctional Institution in 2016.

He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Rory had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh along with hanging out with family and friends. He also loved watching deer and other wildlife in his backyard and telling stories about his two dogs Champ and Oliver.

He was predeceased by his father Carl Widmar and his grandparents.

He survived by his Mother Harriet, siblings Randy (Anne) Widmar of Kenosha, WI, Rick (Peggy) Widmar of Roscoe, IL, Sister Carla (John) Tossava of Bristol, WI, nephews and nieces Dale (Elizabeth) Widmar, Emily (Wilfrido) Valle, Charles Widmar, Douglas (Jackie) Widmar, Andrew Widmar, Corie (Travis) Bies, and Paul (Monica) Tossava.

Interment and Memorial service will be 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 5th, 2017 at All Saints Cemetery, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
