Ronald D. Bartley Sr.

photo_bartley_webRonald D. Bartley Sr., age 87, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Interment will be at a later date at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Ronald was born June 26, 1929 in Adams, Wisconsin to Nelson R. and Minnie (Montgomery) Bartley.

Ronald enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He was then drafted into the United States Army serving during the Korean War and was later honorably discharged in 1953.

Ronald worked for the C & NW Railroad as a brakeman and retired after 35 years.

He enjoyed golfing, and watching the Brewers and Packers.

Ronald was a member of The Wisconsin Rapids American Legion.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson & Minnie Bartley; First wife, Carolyn A. Bartley; Second wife, Dolores Bartley; brother, William Bartley; sister, Thelma Minton; Daughter-in-law, Kathy Vigil; Son-in-law, Kerry Kilgren and Step-son, Lee Allen.

Daughter: Carol Jean Kilgren of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Daughter: Diana (Mark) Forry of Alliance, Nebraska
Step-Son: Robert Vigil of Las Vegas, Nevada
Step-Daughter: Edith (Danny Rutkowski) Tomczak of West Allis, Wisconsin
Step-Daughter: Karen (Randy) Rueckl of Hortonville, Wisconsin
Step-Daughter: Debbie (Tim) Eylander of Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Step Daughter-in-law: Liz Allen of Arizona
Further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends
