Roger Joseph Reimer, age 87, of Chilton, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, Sept 13th at Atrium Acute Nursing Home in Chilton, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the Good Shepherd’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at Roseberry’s on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Roger was born July 8th 1929 in Wisconsin Rapids to his parents Leonard and Mayme (Bushman) Reimer. Roger graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. He was employed at Nekoosa paper mill for several years. Roger served in the army as a tank gunner in the Korean war. He married Iva Mae Riese.

Roger hobbies and interests included watching the Packers and Baseball. While growing up he served as an altar boy for ST peter & Paul Catholic school & church. In his younger years he loved bowling, hunting, fishing, and playing baseball. Roger enjoyed hanging out with family on the farm-going on Crop inspections to check the growth of the corn- and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren, Abigail and Dylan.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Mayme Reimer; and wife, Iva Mae Reimer.

Son: Jeff Reimer (Cyndi Voigt) of Manitowoc
Son: Brian (Tammy) Reimer of Chilton
Stepson: Herman (Karen) Riese of New York
Stepdaughter:  Nyla (Don) Peterson of Arkdale
Grandchildren: Abigail and Dylan Reimer of Chilton
Further survived by numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Reimer family would like to thank the staff of Atrium Post Acute Care center of Chilton for the last 5 years of caring for Roger.

    He was good PA taught me a lot in life hunting, fishing, football,and baseball we went to a lot of races and demos together. Had a lot of chicken dinners on Monday night football games.
