Robert Arnold Dye Sr., age 73, of Adams, Wisconsin (formerly of Janesville) died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the White Creek Cemetery, Town of Easton, Adams County, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Bob was born June 6, 1944 in Adams, Wisconsin to James Martin and Minerva Eleanor (Fairfield) Dye. He grew up Grand Marsh and served in the Army during the Mid-60’s. Bob worked McWhyte Wire and Rope a few years before working for General Motors in 1968. He married Patricia Ann Risinger on September 28, 1968 in South Burr Oak Methodist Church. Bob retired from GM in March of 1998, and moved to Easton Township later that year. He then worked for Allied Co-op for 13 years.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors, where he loved to hunt and fish, go atving, and snowmobiling.

Bob was a member of Carlson Rustic Ridge Snowmobile Club.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, James Martin Dye; mother, Minerva Eleanor Payne; step-fathers: Franklin Henry Quipp and Darwin Payne; sister, Nancy Quipp; brothers: Frank Dye and James Martin Dye Jr.; brothers-in-law: Lynn VanTassel; Richard Stevens; Carl Revels; and Charles Bennett.

Son: Robert A. (Brandi) Dye Jr. of Janesville, Wisconsin
Grandchildren: Keegan and Jillian Spooner of Janesville, Wisconsin
Son: James Robert Dye of Beloit, Wisconsin
Grandsons: James Martin Dye, Cheyenne Lee Dye, and Elijah James Dye of Beloit, Wisconsin
Sisters: Ruthie VanTassel of Wind Lake, Rosie Revels of Marshfield, Carol (David) McGrade of Adams, Lou Bennett of Portage
Brothers: Tim (Terry Winchester) Quipp of Grand Marsh
Brother: LeRoy (Maggie) Quipp of Grand Marsh
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    Bob was always a generous man, when I was young and too fat to climb the grease pole at Corn and Tater he got underneath me and pushed me up the pole. Then I saw him slip a dollar to the man that was running the game.
