Norman Sainsbury

Norman Sainsbury, age 89, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the United in Christ Lutheran Church in Dellwood, Wisconsin.   Rev. Brian Crane will officiate.  Interment will be at the Big Creek Cemetery, LaValle, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship and again from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday.

Norman was born January 18, 1927 in LaValle, Wisconsin to Harvey and Isabelle Sainsbury.

He was drafted into the United States Army on November 17, 1945 and served in Germany. Norman was honorably discharged on December 2, 1946.

He married Ruth Redlin on July 28, 1952 in Racine, Wisconsin.

Norman worked for Chrysler Corporation in Kenosha, retiring after 30 years. He and Ruth later moved to Adams County.

Norman was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, ATV-ing, and snowmobiling.

He was a member of the United in Christ Lutheran Church in Dellwood and life member of the VFW Post # 8375 in Silver Lake, Wisconsin and a life member of the Dellwood and Moundview Snowmobile Clubs.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Isabelle Sainsbury; brother, Spencer Sainsbury; sisters,  Lavella (William) Carver; Marlene (Roy) Wells & Inez (Fred) Noel and brother-in-law, Ralph Kosch.

Son:  Wayne (Susan) Sainsbury of Wheatland, Wisconsin

Son:  Albert (Susan) Fiegel of Kenosha, Wisconsin

Son:  Ronald (Susan) Fiegel of Friendship, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Ruth Ann (Bryan) Rahn of Necedah, Wisconsin

Sister:  Elaine Kosch of Reedsburg, Wisconsin

Sister-in-law:  Connie Sainsbury of Reedsburg, Wisconsin

Brother-in-law: Robert Redlin of Silver Lake, Wisconsin

further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
