Maynard was my boss when I worked at Castle Rock Park for 2 years. I thought the world of him. We had many talks about the Milwaukee Braves, his years in the Army Air Corp in India during World War II, politics, his youth in Rice Lake, etc… He was always a gentlemen. I called him years after we worked together and he was as gracious and kind as ever. He was a great guy. I was lucky to know him. My thoughts are with his family.
