Mary Jo Peterson, age 71, of Big Flats, Wisconsin died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Stuart McGregor will officiate. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Bancroft, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Mary Jo was born October 1, 1945 in Big Flats, Wisconsin to Joe and Lorraine (Hill) Kouba. She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1963. She married Robert Lee Peterson on July 31, 1965 in Nekoosa. They made their home in Big Flats, where they raised four children. Mary Jo worked at Farnam Sealcoating Systems in Necedah and Rainbow Casino in Nekoosa.

Mary Jo enjoyed sightseeing with her sister Sal, watching her sons race cars, visiting her children at the campgrounds, watching the Green Bay Packers, and listening to country music at Big Flats Dance Barn.

Mary Jo was a member of Adams County Pool League and Big Flats Fire Dept. Auxiliary.

Memorials may be directed in Mary Jo’s memory to her family.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lorraine Kouba; and husband, Robert Lee Peterson.

Further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her two little fur babies “Little Bear” and “Angel”.
