Marvin Lee “Tut” Phillippi

Marvin Lee “Tut” Phillippi, age 86, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the United in Christ Lutheran Church in Dellwood, Wisconsin. Rev. Randal Walter Schoemann will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at United in Christ Lutheran Church.

Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery, Town of Quincy, Adams County, Wisconsin at a later date.

Marvin was born May 6, 1932 in Pennsylvania to Cloyd and Mae (Tressler) Phillippi. He grew up in Monessen, PA. where he enjoyed swimming and going to movie theaters with his friends. He graduated from Monessen High Scholl in 1950. Marvin served in the Army. He married Diane L. Reifenstuhl on August 26, 1966 in Waukegan, IL. He worked for A.O. Smith in Milwaukee for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1993. Marvin retired to Quincy Township where he enjoyed fishing, gardening, carpentry work, and watching and feeding his blue birds.

Marvin was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #726 in Milwaukee.

Memorials may be directed in Marvin’s memory to United in Christ Lutheran Church.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Cloyd and Ann Phillippi; wife, Diane Phillippi; and siblings: Cloyd, John, Harry, Mana Ruth, and Gin.

Grandchild: Trevor Kearney of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
Grandchild: Trent Kearney of Adams County, Wisconsin
Brother: Ron Phillippi of Pennsylvania
Special friend: Alice Talle of Adams, Wisconsin
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
