  1. Sharon and John Shotwell says:

Lorraine had a sparkle in her smile, living a full 93 years of living, loving Jesus and serving others. Now she is with Jesus in Glory Land. She was a true Switzer. She was born and raised in cheese country, on a farm that had good soil to produce healthy food for the family of 14 children she was a part of. My mother Mary Hart, a first cousin knew all 14 and I had the privilege while living in Monroe area of being a part of their lives. Mother continued writing letters after we moved N WI.
John and Lorraine enjoyed serving people at their two cheese shops she and John managed. No doubt even Limburger, as that was the going cheese of yonder days. My father Rudolph Speich had the Grinnell Cheese Factory and made Limburger Cheese.
Lorraine’s mother Marie Arn was my Grandfather Albert Goodman’s sister both coming direct from Switzerland. Norman one of the 14 children said that their mother Marie was one of the most godly women he ever knew. Wow, to have been raised in that kind of home. Many stories to tell in that family.
Lorraine will be missed. We pray for husband John as he grieves the loss of his dear wife that the Lord Jesus will bring comfort and strength to his day, knowing he has many wonderful memories to savor and that his dear wife is with Jesus and he will see her again when his call comes.

  2. Tammy Hammond says:

She always had a good joke to tell. And every so often she would find a joke in the newspaper or wherever and she would give them to Pastor to read before service started. She was a good and special lady
I pray for comfort for the family
