Lois J. House

Lois J. House, age 88, of Adams, died on Friday, November 30, 2018 in her home.

Lois was born on December 24, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Lillian (Krasinski) Marcinkowski. She married Frank House on May 17, 1952 and they lived in Miami, FL prior to moving to Adams in 1963. Frank preceded Lois in death on November 25, 1996.

Lois was a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Adams County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and ran the gift shop in the hospital for several years. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels in her back yard and tending to her flowers and plants.

Lois is survived by two sons, Scott (Julie) House of Whitehall and Jeff (Myra) House of Elkins, AR; two grandchildren, Alexa (Josh) Campion of Rochester, MN and Curtis (Melanie) House of Baldwin; five great-grandchildren, Tavan, Dax, Hailey, Jase and Archer; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen (Abe) Monte and Cecelia (Frank) Plantz; a brother, Henry (Lorraine) Martin and her bother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene (Arlene) House.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roseberry Funeral Home with burial in Saint Leo’s Catholic Cemetery both in Friendship. Father Francis Dias will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. in the Roseberry Funeral Home in Friendship and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Lois’s family would like to thank Charlie and Dawn Page for all the care and assistance they provided for her over the years. Lois considered them more as a son and a daughter than just good neighbors, and we do as well. Thank you both for all that you did.
