Lloyd August Bartelt

Lloyd August Bartelt, age 82, of Adams Friendship, WI (formally Watertown, WI) passed away unexpectedly at his home on Oct. 13, 2018.

Lloyd was born in Merrill, WI on July 15, 1936 son to Leo and Mildred Bartelt (nee Hinz). Lloyd raised four children Penelope (Daniel) Sullivan of Watertown, Barbara Bartelt of Adams, Julie Bartelt of Watertown, and Michael Bartelt of Friendship. He married Marjorie Damrow on April 28, 1984. He worked in the building construction trades for many years. Lloyd enjoyed a good time, joking, playing the accordion and his family and friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, brother Donald (Donny) Bartelt, grandson Matt Young, and parents Leo and Mildred Bartelt. Survivors include his children, stepchildren Linda (Joe) Zangl of Mayville, WI, Judy ( Gene ) Guenther of Ashippun, WI and Kris Young of Watertown, WI along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lloyd was a big-hearted man and he will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27th at St. Johns Church at N1245 St. Johns Way, Oconomowoc, WI at 11:00 with Rev. Gary Tilllman presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11:00 before the service.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time in Adams Friendship, WI. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Society or charity of one’s choice. Roseberry’s Funeral Home is assisting the family. Visit www.roseberrys.com for online condolences.
