Joseph was born March 21, 1941 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

He lived at Holly Home and called Holly “Ma”.

Bruce Kuba was his companion and mentor in all of his fishing and hunting expeditions. The Pease and Kuba families were his family.

Joe loved fishing, hunting, football, baseball and riding his bike.

Years ago, Joe was an auto-mechanic.

He loved to tell stories to all family and friends that came to visit.  He would sit and watch cartoons with the grandchildren to make them happy.  Joe always looked forward the Adams County Halloween and Christmas Parties and Fishing Has No Boundaries trips.

Joe leaves behind Holly Manthey, Bruce Kuba, Chris (Nichol) Manthey, Jeremy Manthey, the Pease and Kuba families, Janet Winters, his guardian and many friends.

He was preceded in death by Bernice Giessel and good friend Marvin.
