Jerome E. Dvorak Sr.

web_DvorakJerome E. Dvorak Sr., age 88, of Port Edwards, Wisconsin died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Father James P. McNamee will officiate.  Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery in Friendship. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and again from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Friday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.  Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Jerome was born July 5, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Jerome and Loretta Dvorak.

Following high school he enlisted in the United States Navy serving for five years during WWII.

He married Rita Bracken on October 30, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. They were married for 48 years before she passed away on February 14, 2002.

Jerome was a lifelong Cubs & Bears fan from Chicago, but with his roots being from Wisconsin he moved back in 2003.

He was a member of the VFW.

Jerome was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Dvorak; mother, Loretta and father, Jerome.

 

Survivors:

Son:  Paul (Lori) Dvorak of Nekoosa, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Laura Kramer of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Mary Henry of Scottsdale, Arizona

Son:  Jerome Dvorak Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky

Six grandchildren:  Jeffrey, Ryan, Aleia, Brianna, Michael, and Matthew

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be given to the Disabled Veterans.
