Jay Marshall Paddock, age 98, of Adams, Wisconsin died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Roseberry’s Funeral
Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Interment will be at the
South Arkdale Cemetery, Town of Strongs Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Jay was born March 01, 1918 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin to Jerome and Florence (Jackson) Paddock. The family moved to Adams in the 1920’s. Jay served in the Army during WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater. He married Eva Matilda Gullickson on July 3, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids. Jay worked at Consolidated Paper Mill in Wisconsin Rapids until his retirement.

Jay served the Mayor of the city of Adams.

Jay enjoyed traveling with his wife and watching football and golf.

Jay was a member of Adams VFW Post 6279.

Jay was preceded in death by parents, Jerome and Florence Paddock; wife, Eva M. Paddock; daughter, June Moravcevich; brothers: Milton and Frank; and one sister.

Grandchild: Kris (Ric) Smith of Syracuse, NY

Great-grandchildren: Tiffany and Holly Smith of Syracuse, NY
Great-great-grandchild: Elise Kilty
Nephew: Edwin Gullickson Jr.
Nephew: Gerald (Joanne) Gullickson
Great-Niece: Rita (Dale) Kolstad
Great-great-nieces: Heather (Brent) Frank, Tara, Caylee,
Great-great-nephew: Luca
Great-nephew: Clay Gullickson
Great-niece: Brenda

    I am so sorry for your loss! Jay and Eva were like grandparents to me when I was young, growing up on the same block of Grant Street. More recently, Jay was a regular customer at my work and we reconnected. Such a sweet, funny man. Always cheerful and friendly. I will miss seeing him.
