  1. Peggy and Jerry Johnston says:

    Scott and family,
    I am sorry to see such a wonderful person taken from us. I always had and will have the highest respect for your Mom. It was so easy to love her so much! It was a very difficult time in her life to be in Liberty Village, but at first she was in much better condition. I applauded you and Sue for visiting her so often. There are many that never get visitors, even from their family. I always tried to make a point to see her if possible when Jerry and I were their. She went through so much heart ache when Rick passed. Just know they are at peace in a better place. Maybe now all that pain has gone away. God got a very good and wonderful person. Try to remember the good times, as there were many.

    Scott and family,
    Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Growing up together in Quincy are among our favorite memories. Mick and Helma were always wonderful to us and we always enjoyed our visits with them and the rest of your family. This poem gave us a sense of peace when dad and mom died. I share it with you at this time, in memory of your family members and with hopes that it brings you peace in your time of grieving, as well.
    Do not stand at my grave and weep
    I am not there. I do not sleep.
    I am a thousand winds that blow.
    I am the diamond glints on snow.
    I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
    I am the gentle autumn rain.
    When you awaken in the morning’s hush
    I am the swift uplifting rush
    Of quiet birds in circled flight.
    I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
    I am not there. I did not die.
