Ella Mae Corris

photo_corris_webElla Mae Corris, age 82, of Beloit, Wisconsin passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Sun Valley Terrace in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Rev. John K. Stake will officiate.  Interment will be at the White Cemetery, Town of Coloma, Adams County, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Ella was born June 20, 1934 on the farm in Richfield Township, Adams County, Wisconsin the daughter of Darwin and Violet (Nelson) Payne.

During school she worked in the Dells and also at a restaurant in Coloma.  She graduated in 1952 from Adams-Friendship High School.

Ella married Gerald Tobler in 1953 and later married Richard Corris on October 30, 1976.  She worked at Libby’s and then Hormel.  She retired to Missouri where they raised cattle.  She loved having family around.  They later moved back to Wisconsin.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Corris on May 26, 2016; her parents, Darwin & Violet Payne; brothers, Arthur (Helen) & Carl Payne; two infant siblings and brothers-in-law, Gus Saladino & Deone Jensen.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Jan) Tobler; daughter, Betty Fisher; four grandchildren, Tikvah (Carl), Josh (Jaime), Jamie, and Tara; seven great-grandchildren, Simmone, Avery, Kieren, Morgan, Parker, Dylan, and Payton; Sisters, Delores & Lucille; brothers, Gordy (Kathy) & Danny (Myrtle) and sister-in-law, Lucy Payne.  Ella is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
