  14. Don Snider/ Winona Yard Crews says:

    Joan + Family,

Saddened to hear this news. Always enjoyed Ed’s visit to Winona, some of those times you would accompany him which also meant that it was not a company issue. (we weren’t in trouble, derailment, etc.) To jog your memory I am the taller one (retired) that could be a poster boy for convict monthly!. 🙂
There are no words for things like this, all I have for you is hopefully some humor and of course well wishes to you + your’s.
Please know this, in forty two years of playing train I can count on one hand the number of manager’s that I liked and trusted, men who had my/our backs and vice versa.
Ed was at the top of that list!, promoted from the ranks he truly understood what it took to operate his territory and manage
his people. For that it was my honor and privilege to work for and with Ed!.

    All Good,
    Don Snider
