Dolores LoVenne Allen-Bartley

Dolores LoVenne Allen-Bartley , age 79, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin died Saturday, November 18, 2012 at the Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Friends may call at Roseberry’s on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Interment will be at the South Burr Oak Cemetery, Coloma, Wisconsin at a later date.

Dolores was born July 13, 1933 in Pinewood, Minnesota to Dewey and Leah (Johnson) Annonson.   She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1951.  Dolores met and later married Lyle M. Allen (son of Mark “Coon” and Myrtle Allen) on June 28, 1953 in Pinewood, Minnesota. Together they had two children, Debra and Lee. They made their home in Adams, Wisconsin except for a brief move to Whitefish, MT in 1960.  After returning in 1961, Dolores worked for the Adams-Friendship School District as head cook for Adams Grade School.  She later and her husband owned and operated a turkey ranch until the time of Lyle’s passing on November 23, 1981.

She married Ronald D. Bartley Sr. (son of “Brownie” and “Minnie” Bartley) on May 10, 1985 in Mitchell, South Dakota.  They lived in Cottonville before moving to Wisconsin Rapids.

Dolores enjoyed sewing, cross country skiing, and gardening.

Dolores, in her earlier years, was a member of the homemakers and the Eastern Star.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Leah Annonson; husband, Lyle M. Allen;   son, Lee Mark Allen; brother, William Annonson; and sisters: Carol Nord and Margaret Streiber; Father & Mother in law, Mark “Coon” and Myrtle Allen; brothers in law, David Allen, James Oxton, Edward Mittin, & Bill Bartley; sisters in law, Esther Allen, Dorothy Sindelar, Thelma Mittin, & Clara Bartley.
