Charles A. Roberts, age 61, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 10, 2018, at his home.
A memorial gathering will be December 22, 2018, at Roseberry’s Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon.
Charles was born March 30, 1957, in Mauston, Wisconsin to Albert and Melvina (LaQuee) Roberts. He graduated from Adams-Friendship High School. Charles married Dawn Marie Leach on May 21, 1983, in Arkdale, Wisconsin. He did much pulping, logging, and trucking in his early years, he then owned and operated C.A.R. Landscaping in Adams County for 33 years.
Charles loved to work and worked to help a great many people that he considered all friends and greatly appreciated. He assisted many local clubs and organizations when he could. He could frequently be seen at early morning coffee clutches at local cafes. He enjoyed dinners out with his wife and many friends. He cherished friends, family, and his dogs. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing – though he seldom took time to do them. May he have his well-earned rest.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles & Goldie Roberts; Harry & Frieda LaQuee; father, Albert Roberts, and sister, Linda (Johnny) Thiessen.

I’ll never forget the time when I asked chuck to cut a tree near my house. when I came home I found out he cut some different trees and not the one we talked about. When I called him he just laughed and said he needed a couple more to fill up his load. How could anyone ever stay mad at him. The tree s still standing and will always be a reminder of good man gone too soon. RIP Chuck…….

I lost touch with Chuck over the years. But I remember going to school with him at Roche a Cri. Reading all these comments makes me understand that Chuck led a great life and worked hard for all he had. My prayers are with all who loved him. He is reunited with Linda. Love and hugs to you.

Memories of my uncle chuck and aunt Dawn have always been happy and inspireing. They both have always taught me so so much. Losing my uncle chuck is still a shock to me. He was such a great man and has taught me alot about life even though I lived so far away. I will always be here for u aunt Dawn for the rest of my life what ever u need please call me. I never got much time with my uncle because he worked so hard but I am happy to know he made many great friends while he was working so hard. We will all miss Chuck very much, as Amber mentioned he was the glue that held our family together, he is and will always be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him.
Chuck was such a wonderful man, we are so saddened to hear about his passing. When we first moved to the area he was one of the first people to come help us in our landscaping. He would see us out on occasion, as Friendship is our part-time home, but Chuck ALWAYS remembered us and would take a moment to say Hi. That is a truly special person you do not find every day. He was kind, funny, and will be missed. Our condolences to Dawn and family. I hope all the wonderful memories will help get you through these rough times and someday put a smile back on your faces.
