Bruce Allen Prehm

Bruce Allen Prehm, age 70, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Monday, June 25, 2018 at his home in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Bruce was born August 29, 1947 in Waukegan, Illinois to Herman and Lois (Dyer) Prehm. He was a free spirit and craved adventure. He was raised in Mundelein Illinois and stayed there until he finished high school. Besides Illinois he lived in Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Florida and finally Wisconsin. He took many motorcycle trips and traveled to Mexico and the Bahamas with his beloved wife, Gail.

Bruce loved riding his award winning 1973 Harley Sportster, He always said that when he died his favorite daughter would inherit his Harley. He always told each of them that they were his favorite.

Bruce hated sitting still and was very social. Much of his free time was spent in his garage playing his music and working on engines or one of his original artistic creations. Many times, he’d have a friend or 2 hanging out there with him. He loved to draw, carve, pinstripe and customize his friends’ bikes. He also made furniture, and cool scenescapes complete with lighting and of course – a Harley. Bruce showed the world his love of art in the form of the many tattoos he’d gotten, many designed and drawn by him. He got his first as a teenager and his last at age 68.

A service Bruce would very much approve of will take place at Bobbers Bar, 710 N. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL on Saturday, August 11th from 3-7p.m.

Memorials may be directed in Bruce’s memory to Michelle LaJoie, 741 Metropolitan Ave., Bolingbrook, IL 60490.
