    Brently dear Brently
    Don’t want to say goodbye
    I knew our certain friendship
From the first time that we met
Forever it was etched in stone
    Forever it was set
    A common love for football
For the Packers we did cheer
Stats league was our way of life
    And of course the beer

Life will not be the same
That you will never be a part
    You’ve played your final game
    Brently dear Brently
    How sorrowful am I
    Brently dear Brently

  14. Karl Anderson says:

Brent was a good soul. When you first met him, he would come off as a tough nut to crack. Once you were inside his self-described “comfort zone,” you found an intelligent and thoughtful man with some dynamite stories and a well-honed of humor. I will miss him.

My deepest condolences to the Vickers family.

  15. John Safstrom says:

I rarely remember what I did last month or even last year but I remember what I was doing December 7, 1980. I was sitting in a dorm room in Oshkosh with Brent watching the Packers get beat by the Bears 61-7. Brent’s dorm room was stacked floor to ceiling with empty cases of Hamms beer. You could not see the walls. Only the empty cases. We added 2 more that day. Little did I know that there would be many more days of friendship ahead.

Most of the memories I have of fun and friendship include Brent. Our circle had this magical thing called Stats League which kept us together. Grown men that care for each other and sometimes even say I love you brother.

My heart goes out to Brent’s family. My family will say a prayer for Diane and her family.

In a few days we will say goodbye to our friend. We will drink Old Fashions, tell stories, laugh or asses off and then cry like small children.

I will say I love you brother and remember March 5, 2019.

  16. Tiffany says:

My condolences to family. Bret shared so many stories but my favorite one was him explaining how he watched football without split screen. That’s right he stacked TV’s on top of each other just so he could watch all the games. I enjoyed working with him for a short time, he had the best sassy comebacks and unforgettable personality. RIP Bret!

  17. Roger Marti says:

So sorry to hear this sad news. My condolences go out to Brent’s family.

  18. Scott Waller says:

My Little League teammate back in Ad Co on the Cubs, college roommate, and old friend it is all so hard to believe and so sad. All the adventures in Oshkosh always bring a smile to my face. I am so grateful to you for all these years of Stats league and Super Bowl parties you organized keeping the old gang together. When I saw you at the Super Bowl party last month it reminded me to live and love with all my heart. Life is short and precious. My deepest condolences to Diane and the family. We are all so lucky to know you.

  19. Ray Bork says:

My brother, my friend! 50 feet across the street you, me and Tommy became mates. Oak Street brothers, hijacked dad’s milk cooler of all the chocolate milk we could drink! 35+ years later on Super Bowl Sunday Feb. 2019 we raised a toast with the commish and to our fantasy football league which he gave birth to in 1982. Hoping we would do the same next year, God had different plans. I’m so glad we had that day with you and Diane. The most incredible mind I’ve ever had the privilege knowing. The Adams, Oshkosh, Dells memories will are countless and will never be forgotten. I hope to hell you and Kenneth ” the snake” Stabler are sharing a beer and talking football. HOF Snake, I believe your lobbying got him elected commish! Never a negative word to or towards another human (ok maybe a packer coach or player on occasion and always the Bears or Visqueens).
Thoughts, prayers and hugs to Diane and children, Tom, Rick, Linda..countless friends.

    RIP my friend,
    K Pin
