Betty Jean Sipla

Sipla_webBetty Jean Sipla, age 92, of Stevens Point, Wisconsin passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Point Manor in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Jean was born August 14, 1923 in Platteville, Wisconsin to Roy and Elsie Strong.

She married Otto Sipla Jr. on August 14, 1948 in Adams, Wisconsin.

Jean was primarily a homemaker but occasionally worked out of the home at businesses which included Rayovac in Wisconsin Dells, and Castle Rock Container in Adams.

Jean and her husband Otto also operated the Shoreline Resort on Big Roche-a-Cri Lake for a number of years.

She was an avid snowmobiler for a number of years beginning in the early 1970’s.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Raymond (Lorraine) Baine of Wausau, Wisconsin and Gregory (Patricia) Sipla of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She also had 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who all survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Elsie Strong; husband, Otto Sipla Jr. and sister, Martha Roberts.

Per her request, private family services will be held.
