Belva Lorraine Carlton
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Assembly of God Church in Adams, Wisconsin. Pastor Mark Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Adams, Wisconsin.
Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin at a later date.
Belva was born May 6, 1925 in Grand Marsh, Wisconsin to Jesse Frank and Ruby Louise (Maynard) Ripley.
She married Frederick Willis Carlton on February 28, 1943 in Belva’s parents’ home. They lived in Oxford, and later Russell Flats Property, before making their home in rural Oxford.
Belva enjoyed motorcycling, going to church, working outside and on the family farm.
Belva was a member of Assembly of God.
Belva was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ruby Ripley; husband, Frederick Willis Carlton; son, Jesse W. Carlton; brothers: Clarence, Floyd, and Albert Ripley; and an infant sister, Grace Ripley.
Survivors:
Son: Pete (Kristine) Carlton of Westfield, Wisconsin and their four children
Daughter: Janet J. (Bernie) Fritz of Westfield, Wisconsin and their two children
Daughter-in-law: Elda Carlton of Oxford, Wisconsin and her five children
Further survived by great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and family friends.

My condolences on Belva’s passing. I knew Belva (and Fred) from the 30 years that I had lived in Grand Marsh. She was an wonderful and caring person. She was a long-time friend of my Mom, Lorraine Hamman, who thought very highly of her.
Sorry for the loss of Belva. .She was such a hoot! I so loved seeing her a couple times a week. What an angel. She will be so missed. God Bless.
Got my 1st Bible from Belva in her Sunday school class. She loved JESUS with her whole heart and she loved her family. What a legacy and example she has left behind. So sorry for your loss Carlton family

Belva was a wonderful woman. A woman of legacy, partying for and leading her family to love and serve the Lord. She was a beautiful servant of her Heavenly Father. I always appreciated her and her whole family. The greatest comfort that I can express is that she already is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our sympathies to the entire Carlton family. Belva holds a special place in our hearts. Always the sweetest, most caring woman. Prayers to you all during this time. Blessings to you all.
To Belva thank you for being my brother Jeff’s foster mother and for letting us call you grandma and for taking care of my dad for awhile you have always been sweet to us we will miss you.
Belva was a kind spirited woman who had the patience of a saint. She was a motivational woman to many in and out of church. Her lifetime of kindness will be missed. May she and the Lord sit side by side to plan the changes of the future. I will miss Belva’s open arms and prayers. May the Lord be with you on your time of need.

Sorry to hear that Aunt Belva passed away. She was one of my favorite Aunts. Aunt Belva was one of the most loving kindest person that I know. Loved her so much. I know she is in Heaven looking down at us.

Aunt Belva was the most loving Aunt I could of wished for. Her love for God showed through in her every smile and every word. She had kindness and patience that were with her till the end I’m sure. Rest In Peace Aunt Belva, and give Dad a hug for us. Until we meet again Love you.
