Wayne D. Zellmer, age 91, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the Roscoe Cemetery, Roscoe, Illinois.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Wayne was born April 25, 1926 in Adams, Wisconsin to Myron and Inez (Wintersteen) Zellmer. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Marine Corp. He married Mina Heitman on September 25, 1948 in Adams, Wisconsin. They made their home in Beloit and he worked at Ideal Concrete for 43 years, retiring in 1989. He returned to the family homestead where he was born.

Wayne enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan, hunting, and working on cars.

Wayne was a member of White Creek Lions.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Inez Zellmer; wife, Mina Zellmer; son, Wayne Dennis Zellmer Jr.; son, Gregory D. Zellmer; and sister, Nita Zellmer.

Great-Grandchildren: Miranda Wells, Brieanne Wells, Ethan Rood, Caysen Zellmer, Arya Zellmer
