Richard
Stanchfield, age 72, of Mauston, Wis.,
passed away peacefully in his home
after a courageous eight month
battle with cancer on July 26, 2010.
Richard was born to Raymond and
Pauline (Claude) Stanchfield on Feb.
23, 1938, in Rochester Minn.
Richard was dedicated to helping
others through his job and with
everything that he did in his life.
He struggled with his own addictions
early in life, which lead him to a
path of happiness in life with his
wife, family and friends. There are
some people out there who will never
know what a great man Richard came
to be.
Dick was a certified AODA
Counselor, NCGC/Certified Gambling
Counselor, and a CCJS/Certified
Criminal Justice Specialist for
Juneau County for 17 years. He will
be missed.
There were three things that put
a smile on his face: family, work,
and hunting. We know when the leaves
change colors and the boys head to
the woods; he too will be in those
woods guiding and protecting.
Richard is survived by his loving
wife of 25 years Margie;
step-children, Angel McMahon
and Sandra Castro; step-grandchildren,
Samantha, Zachary, Kyrie, Lance,
Crystal, and Mateus;
great-grandchild, Emma Lee;
brothers, Denny, David and Johnny;
sister, Janet; and dear friends,
Doc, and Bill Beaten.
Special thanks to Jeff, Rhonda Ready
and their families for all of your
help and understanding.
There will be a Celebration of
Life for Richard on Aug. 8, 2010, at
Heritage Park in New Lisbon starting
at 1 p.m.
Roseberry's Funeral Home is
assisting the family. Visit
