Doye Lynn Card, age 73, of Oxford, Wisconsin died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at his home following a long battle with cancer.

Private family services were planned.

Doye was born August 2, 1935 in Tocopola, Mississippi a son of George and Birdie (Hellums) Card. He married Vivian Foat on September 1, 1954 in Dubuque, Iowa. Doye and Vivian lived in Beloit Wisconsin for 18 years and during this time their marriage was blessed with seven children.  Doye was a member of the National Guard- Company D. While in Beloit area he worked for Kroger�s grocery stores as a department manager, he worked as a surveyor for Adams County DNR, and retired after 22 years as a State Compliance Officer in the meat division.   Prior to moving to Oxford Doye and Vivian lived in Green Bay.

He loved hunting, fishing and catfishing on Sugar River with his brothers and brother in law.

Doye and Vivian built their log home in Oxford, WI that they have lived in for the past 15 years with help from their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Birdie Card; brother, Charles Card; sister, Melba Owens; brother, Kermit Card; and sister, Zane "Jean" Andres.

Sister: Peggy Burton of Panama City Beach, Florida
