Frieda Dora Johnson, age 91, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Interment will be at the East Arkdale Cemetery, Town of Strongs Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church.

Frieda was born April 13, 1917 in Green County, Wisconsin to Frank and Louise (nee Stalder) Weber Sr. She married Harry A. Polivka in October of 1937. This marriage was blessed with three children before ending in divorce. Frieda later married David E. Johnson on October 27, 1962 in Arkdale, Wisconsin. She worked for Adams County Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide until her retirement.

Frieda enjoyed bingo, jigsaw puzzles, cribbage, and sending greeting cards to her family and friends.

Frieda was a member Arkdale Trinity Lutheran.

Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Johnson; two Grandsons, Michael and Daniel Polivka; and brother, Frank Weber Jr.

Brother: Paul (Dorothy) Weber of Portage, Wisconsin

Grandchild: Michele Parke of Fort Meyers, Florida

Grandchild: John (Katherine) Pfeiffer of West Bend, Wisconsin

Grandchild: Lisa (Jay) Douglas of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Grandchild: Julie Polivka of Beverly Hills, California

Grandchild: Cathy Polivka of Pardeeville, Wisconsin

Grandchild: Debbie Polivka of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin

Grandchild: Denise (Jason) Smith of Orlando, Florida

Several Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren

further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
