Minnie Christine Capek, age 96, passed away at Villa Pines
Living Center on Sunday, October 26, 2008.
Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October
29th, 2008 at the South Arkdale Cemetery. Pastor
Terri Skildum will officiate.
Minnie was the sixth child born to Emil and Augusta (Thorpe)
Gullickson on September 13th, 12 in Strongs
Prairie. In 1934, she married Phillip Michel whom later was
killed in action in the Pacific in 1945. Minnie then
married Edward Capek in 1948.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands,
three infant brothers, sisters: Eva Paddock and Adel
Gullickson; brother: Edwin Gullickson; and a great nephew.
Minnie was a salesperson in Cicero and Madison for many
years and her and her husband also operated three different
bars in Adams County. She loved to travel and play bingo.
She and Eddie liked to snowmobile.
