Gene H. Visgar, 68, of Union Center, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gene was born on Nov. 9, 1939, in Mauston.

He was one of five children of Leo and Julia (Linhart) Visgar.

Gene was a graduate of Wonewoc-Center High School class of 1958.

Upon graduation Gene enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving four years.

After leaving the United States Air Force he worked various jobs until taking over the family farm.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of Union Center, brother, Leo (friend, Delores Revels) Visgar of La Farge; sisters, Darlene (Donald) French of Madison, Diane (Frank) Cundari of Reedsburg, Debbie (Jim) Sullivan of Wonewoc; special person, Mary Jo McCool of Bryan, Texas; step-children; nieces; nephews; step-grandchildren; great-nieces; great-nephews; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; other family members; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Julia Visgar; aunts; uncles; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Ethel Lawrence; step-granddaughter, Kari Lyn Anderson; special friend, Mary Ellen McCool; other family members; and friends.

At his request there will be no funeral services.
