CHRISTA PALMER

DEC 24, 1933 JAN 13, 2008

Adams has lost a good friend and great cook.

Christa Palmer was a beautiful woman, listener, problem solver, shoulder to cry on. She was a haven of comfort and kindness, from a warn bowl of her famous soup to a heartfelt hug.

Christa Palmer known and loved by many, peacefully died of cancer early Sun. Jan.13, 2008 at 3:00 a.m. with family and close friends at her bedside at Villa Pines in Adams.

She was blessed with children and grandchildren and one surviving brother in Germany.

She leaves a legacy of bravery, honest hard work, compassion and trust. One of her battle cries, "Just Keep Plugging!"

Christa was born in Eastern Bloc Prussia now part of Russia.

She was a refugee during the war as oldest of four siblings.

Secretly she helped many others and herself and family escape from behind the wall to Holland, then West Germany.  Eventually Christa relocated to the United States.  Christa married Royal Palmer in 1959.

She worked as an experienced cook and kitchen manager for several area restaurants.

She intensely loved her family, friends, good laughs and good food. Through the years Christa touched countless lives and hearts. She will be dearly missed. Cards and flowers accepted at Main Street Station, Adams Wisconsin. Memorial to be scheduled.
