Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 05, 2008 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Ryan Lowery will officiate. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Big Flats Cemetery, Big Flats, Wisconsin.

Marlene was born August 2, 1935 in Edgerton, Wisconsin to Russell and Bernadine E. (Hartzell) Woerth. She grew up with her grandmother in Edgerton. Marlene married Robert G. Carpenter Sr. on July 9, 1960 in Clearwater, Florida. She worked at SSI Technologies in Janesville, WI for 12 years before moving to Adams County in 1991. Marlene then worked for Adams County Job Service for 3 years before retiring due to her health.

Marlene enjoyed reading, fishing, watching sports, and spending time with children.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William; and sister, Bonnie.
