Edward "Bucky" Charles Heitman, age 85, of Adams, Wisconsin died Friday, April 4, 2008 at his home following a battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Quincy Township, Adams County, Wisconsin. Rev. T. Christian Nelson will officiate. Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Roseberry's Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Edward was born March 2, 1923 in Springville Township, Wisconsin to Charles and Katherine A. (Schroeder) Heitman. Edward was baptized at St. John�s Lutheran Church on June 2, 1923 and confirmed on November 8, 1936. He married June La Rose Witt on June 16, 1945 in St. John's Lutheran Church. Edward and June lived and farmed in Quincy Township on the same homestead for nearly 63 years.

In his early years Edward also worked on the Hwy 13 project, at Badger Ordnance, and on the Petenwell Lake project.

Edward enjoyed playing and watching baseball and deer hunting.

Edward was a lifelong member of St. John�s Lutheran Church and was a charter member of the Easton-White Creek Lions.  He served on the  Planning and Zoning Committee for the Township of Quincy also served as Town Supervisor from 1968 to 1985.

Edward was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Albert, Adolph, Charles Le Roy, Alfred, Ervin "Jim"; and sisters: Esther Freeck, Ruth Pease, Alvina Mikoda, and Dorothy Wood.
