Setsuko
"Suki" Brennecke, age 77, of Watertown/Friendship, Wisconsin
died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at her daughter�s home in
Watertown following a brief illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
April 10, 2007 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in
Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will
officiate. Interment will be at the St. Leo�s Catholic
Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be at Roseberry's Funeral Home on Monday
from 4 to 8:30 p.m., a prayer service will be held at 8:15
p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday from 10
a.m. until the time of Mass.
Suki was born August 24, 1929 in Yamaguchi City, Japan to
Kiyoshi and Toyoko (Yamashita) Saito. She graduated from
Yamaguchi Kenritsu High School and later attended the
Yamaguchi Dress Maker School. Suki met her future husband
during the Korean Conflict. She married George Edward
Brennecke on January 7, 1952 in Fukuoka, Japan. They
returned to Watertown, Wisconsin following the Korean
Conflict. Suki worked as a translator, seamstress, nursing
assistant, and was a dedicated volunteer at the VFW, Villa
Pines, the Adult Day Care Center, Tomah VA Hospital,
Suki enjoyed spending time with her husband George and
family, her dogs, traveling, playing cards and bingo,
crocheting, cooking, and gardening.
Suki was a member of St. Joseph�s Catholic Church, the
P.C.C.W., and the VFW Post #6279 Ladies Auxiliary.
Suki was preceded in death by her Parents Kiyoshi and
Toyoko Saito; husband, George Brennecke; Sister, Sadako
Nomura; and brother and sister-in-laws.
