Carmella "Millie" Marion Wittig, age 76, of Wisconsin Rapids (formerly of Adams and Milwaukee), Wisconsin died Sunday May 8, 2005 at her home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home & Crematory in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Interment will be at the Fordam Cemetery, Friendship, WI.

Visitation will be at Roseberry’s on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Millie was born May 20, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Soccorso and Maria (Delfanso) Dandrea. She married Eugene Wittig on October 26, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This marriage was blessed with 8 children. Millie held many jobs throughout the years in Milwaukee. They retired in 1981 and moved to the Adams County Town of Quincy. Millie moved in 1999 to Wisconsin Rapids to be closer to her son following health concerns.

Millie enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, doing crosswords puzzles, crocheting, sneaking off to the casino.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Eugene); sister (Phillippa); brothers (Peter and Bert); and grandson (Scott).

Sister: Providence Marris of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Sister-in-law: Jeannie Dandrea of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Sister-in-law: Lorraine Wittig of Brookfield, Wisconsin

Also: Many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
