James
H. Hurst Jr. age 71, of Grand Marsh, WI died Tuesday, August
31, 2004 at the VA Hospital in Madison, WI surrounded by his
loving children.Funeral Service
will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3rd,
2004 at Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory. Father James
P. McNamee will officiate. Cremation will follow the
service. Military honors will be provided by the Adams VFW
Post #6279; the American Legion Snyder Richardson Post #273
of Grand Marsh; and the American Legion Red Cloud Post #273
of Adams. Friends may call at Roseberry’s on Friday from 2
p.m. until the time of service.
James was born on July 21, 1933 to James
and Gladys (Keller) Hurst Sr. in Chicago, IL. He married the
late Catherine Joy Zieman on June 12, 1954 at St. Francis
Church in Chicago. James was a veteran of the Korean war,
serving in the Army. They lived in McHenry, IL for nineteen
years before moving to Adams County in 1973.
James enjoyed fishing, grilling, camping,
going to flea markets, and being the family’s "Mr. Fix-it."
James is preceded in death by his parents;
wife (Joy); brothers (Eugene and Bobby) sisters (Ginger,
Opal, and Betty); niece (Amanda); and nephew (Jeffery).

Grandchildren: James, Mayzee, Will, Wyatt, Scott, Aaron,
Krystal, Katrina, Brenden James, and Nicholas

Further survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be
donated in his name to the American Cancer Society or
the National Kidney Foundation.
