Gladys
Schlemmer, age 93 of La Crosse, formally of Adams County
died February 14, 2004 at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center in
La Crosse, WI.A Memorial Gathering will be held at 10:00
a.m. until 12 Noon on Saturday, June 12th, 2004
at Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory in Friendship, WI.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Gladys was born on April 19, 1910 to Asa and Nettie
(Ryan) Fox in Osceola, South Dakota. She worked as an Aide
in a Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1972. Gladys
was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal
Neighbors of America.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husbands;
Louie Babcock and Franz Schlemmer; Son, (Elwin "Skip"
Babcock); brother (Ralph Fox); two sisters (Mildred Miller
and Hazel Westphal).
