Terry Lee (Baumel) Buzzell

SnipImage(12)Terry Lee (Baumel) Buzzell, age 55, passed away peacefully, at her daughter Becky’s home on August 25, 2014 after a four month battle with cancer. Terry was born August 17, 1959 in Adams, WI, the youngest of four siblings and the only daughter to Victor C Baumel Jr. and Rose M Baumel. Terry was baptized at the family’s church in 1972. She grew up in Grand Marsh where her fondest memories came from playing and riding bikes with her childhood friend Gina Klaus(Thompson) and learning to play the flute. Later in life she attended pastry school and would eventually spoil her loved ones with her talent for baking the most delicious treats. Terry was always a hard worker, and was employed in multiple fields throughout her adult life including phone operator, hospital staff, pastry chef, paper delivery and manufacturing. Terry enjoyed outdoor life, especially gardening, camping and fishing. Her greatest joys in life came from quality time spent with her children and grandchildren. Besides her own children, whom she loved and protected with all her might, Terry was a mother figure to many and was referred to as “Mom” by many more than just her own. There was nothing in the world that could put a smile on Terry’s face faster than the sight of her beautiful grandbabies.
She is survived by her Parents; Vic & Rose Baumel of Adams, her children and their families; Gary Rickabaugh (Heidi Homp, Evie-5, Dexter-3) of Adams, Becky Rickabaugh (Jasmine-13), of Sauk, Ashley Buzzell (Annabeth-9, Miles-4, Destiny-2) of Athens, her four brothers; Vic (Cheryl) Baumel of Stoughton, Rick Baumel of Green Bay, Roger Baumel (Kelly Bannigan) of Markesan and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, several aunts and uncles and her grandson, Adam Mason.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6th ,2014 at 12:00 noon at South Burr Oak United Methodist Church with Pastor Candy Lisiecki officiating. (1854 1st Drive, Coloma, Wi 54930). There will be a luncheon following the memorial service.

Terry’s family would like to send a special message of gratitude to Agrace Hospice, specifically Jan Gruber and Kathy Johnson, for all of their care, compassion and expertise shown to our mother and our families during such a difficult time.

Terry will be greatly missed and thought of often, especially when that fishing line hits the water.

Vic, Rose and family: How sad I am to hear of Terry’s passing. I’m so glad I got to visit with her a couple of years ago. I’ll always remember the time her loving brothers stuffed her in the back window of the VW as we all went to Spring Lake. And the time she threw the hockey puck across the ice and it found the only hole possible. Oh we had great times both when you lived near us and when you moved back to Grand Marsh and we’d visit. Terry will always live in our hearts. Love to all!
