Stephan Allen Simon

Stephan Allen Simon, age 82, of Adams, Wisconsin died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Military honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be at Roseberry’s Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Steve was born June 20, 1933 in Antigo, Wisconsin to Michael and Emma (Dumjohn) Simon. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and later worked and retired from American Motors in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Steve then moved to Adams in 1990. He also wintered in Zapata, Texas since 1995 and was Past Commander of VFW Post #7768 in Zapata, Texas.

Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating on his pontoon, four wheeling, and visiting with his friends at happy hour.

Steve was a member of an avid collector of Jim Beam Decanter and bottles and was a member of Jim Beam Bottle Club.

Memorials may be directed in Steve’s memory to American Heart Association.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents: Michael and Emma Simon; significant other, Anita McFadden; brother, Ted Simon; and sister, Caroline Parish.

Step-Children: Jeri (John) Lyons of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
Terry (Sarah) Berryman of Walworth, Wisconsin
Kerri (Paul) Quinnell of Plover, Wisconsin
Grandchildren: Katie Hansen, Jordan Quinnell, Jared Colby, Brooke and Travis Berryman

    So sorry to hear about Steve. We are in Gainesville, TX and always looked forward to he and Karen spending a few days with us at VFW Post 1922 on their way to and from Zapata. They were our “Snowbirds”. Steve will be greatly missed. Our Love and Condolences to Karen and the rest of his family.
