  2. sandi roller-harris says:

As everyone knew, our grandpa was a 1 of a kind man….he instilled so many things in my soul as well as making such a wonderful impact on everyone’s life that he ever came into contact with. no matter what mistakes that some of us made, he always was forgiving. He truly loved his family UNCONDITIONALLY (I know this from experience). He was always willing to help anyone in need, I realize that is the reason my daddy (steve) was the kind of man that he was. Grandma & Grandpa showed me what it meant to TRULY LOVE your family…..I will carry all the wonderful memories with me….. Even though I miss them & my daddy so so much, I have comfort knowing he’s with the ones whom he missed so much. I guarantee that Grandpa, Grandma & Daddy are happier than we are. On behalf our family I wish to thank you all for all that has been & will be said & all who came & also to the ones that couldn’t attend the service or funeral, Grandpa was looking down upon us all with a great big smile on his face & said, “well, i’ll be damned puddy cat, we are truly loved, ain’t that amazing?” Of course Grandma agreed with that beautiful smile on her face….WE LOVE & APPRECIATE YOU ALL SO MUCH. WE WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL TO YOU ALL…….GOD BLESS YOU ALL…

  10. Julia (Jamesson) Scafe says:

Uncle Bob (Big Bob) as we knew him, was absolutely one of a kind. The many memories that we kids have of him and Delores (Laurie) from our childhood are treasured. He treated us as one of his own. Scolded us when we needed it of course, but mostly let our adventures take us where they would. I remember driving old junk cars, being chased by geese, and being bitten by Sparky (the old Shetland pony), riding fast on Diamond Jim, going to cut Christmas trees, swimming at the lake! What fun-filled days we had. We loved going to visit! So much to do, so much to explore. And always warm hearts to welcome us back into the house at night! Bob always had a tale to tell and you never quite knew if it was true or made up. Some of both I suspect. One truth you could count on was his love for his family and friends. He was a lost soul when Laurie left him and it comforts to know that they are together again. RIP Uncle Bob, we love you!
