A gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Interment will be at the Easton Cemetery.
Robert was born June 26, 1932 in Abbotsford, Wisconsin to Louis Emil and Angeline (Parks) Schaetzka. He married Lou Ann Colby on May 22, 1954 in Adams, Wisconsin. They made their home in Oxford, Wisconsin where they raised five children. Robert owned and operated Schaetzka Trucking & Forrest Products since 1959.
Robert semi-retired in 1994, and enjoyed a long retirement.
Robert enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting, Nascar, watching the Packers, and watching the wildlife at his pond.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Emil and Angeline Schaetzka; two brothers and four sisters.

Sister: Elsie Maxwell of Marshfield, Wisconsin
Sister: Violet Brown of New Mexico
Grandchildren: 12

Brother-in-law: Ed Colby of Nekoosa, Wisconsin
Brother—in-law: Gordon Langer of Friendship, Wisconsin
Further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Condolences to the family. He is at peace and pain free now. Our “Trucker Family in Heaven” has gained one more angel to watch over those of us left behind. When thunder rolls, it is just our truckers rehashing old times. What a reunion they must be having!
