So many good memories with Peter, driving convoy to deliver mobile homes “back in” in the ’80’s. Then trading him homemade beer for some of his (great collection) of precious used Grolsch beer bottles. The only way I could get him to part with some of them was to trade 2 full ones for 3 empty ones. Which he provided the service of making into more empty ones.
I’m gonna go buy a pack of Grolsch and enjoy it in his name. Cheers to the historic life of Peter Coles!!!!

  20. Adam Black says:

I am so deeply sorry for all those friends and family who are suffering from Peter’s passing.

Peter was such an enormous influence in everything I am as a human being. Other than my own family he is one of the few people who truly has always been there and who would have done anything to help or support me that he possibly could, without question. That was just Peter’s way.

Pete loved you all the way to the bottom of his heart, and then some more. He had an open and honest way of looking at things that made him so easily likeable. I’ve never had a friend who didn’t love Peter.

He loved his wife and kids with every fiber of himself, and more than that he just wanted to live in a way that was appreciative of life itself. A life where he could do right by people and expected other people to do the right thing, too.

This world could sure learn a lot of lessons from the life of Peter Coles. I know I did. Sure, not every choice was a wise one, but he certainly lived a life that demonstrated the depth of his wisdom.

We’ll always love and miss you, Pete. This world would not have been nearly so vivid without you having lived in it.
