Patrick Allen McCue, age 74, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his home.

Memorial services will be 12 Noon on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the United in Christ Lutheran Church in Dellwood, Wisconsin. Pastor Stephen Jennings will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at United in Christ Lutheran Church from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.

Patrick was born November 28, 1940 in Racine, Wisconsin to Paul G. and Alice (Waterhouse) McCue. He married Diane M. Pishny on April 25, 1959 in Racine. He was an accomplished accordionist, enjoyed fishing trips to the Mississippi River and Lake Erie and teaching his grandsons to fish. Pat was very proud of his past association with the Racine Raiders Football Organization as well as an avid Bears fan, after moving to Adams County he became involved with the Habitat for Humanity, Faith in Action and Second Harvest Food Bank. He was always ready to help at church wherever needed. Beneath a gruff exterior was a heart of gold. His greatest love was time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Patrick was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane McCue of Friendship; two daughters: Colleen (Jeff) Richart of Cottage Grove and Mary (Steve) Grubb of Blaine, WA; one son, Jeff (Lisa) McCue of Racine; Grandchildren: Ashley Wanek-McCue of Racine, Kendra Richart of Cottage Grove, Allison McCue of Racine, Nichole Kolanowski of Racine, Zach Molenda of Marengo, IL, Ryan McCue of Racine, and Conner McCue of Racine; one brother, Shawn (Norah) McCue of Racine, other relatives and many friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.

    I’m so sorry Colleen. After losing my dad in 2012 at the age of 90, I totally know how difficult it is. When they have always been there, you feel like they always will be. Although I still feel my dad with me and my thoughts of him are daily, I miss him terribly.
    At least I knew for the last 5 months of his life that his time was near. Such a difficult time of the year to lose someone so special.
