I had the privilage of working with Margaret as a manager at the Wilderness. For the past 6 months I worked side by side with her running the Outside Housekeeping Department. Through all of her battles I have never seen so much tenacity in one person. It always made me laugh when a new employee would complain to Margaret about how hard the job was. She would just smile and say “Here’s the thing…”. “Here’s the thing” that is a phrase that will stick with me for the rest of my life. It didn’t matter what the topic was… there was always a thing. In the spring we got a group of J1 students from the Philippines. Margaret and I both thought that they were such an amazing group of people. They were always so happy and so polite. She was always Miss Margaret. This group of students began calling our department a family. I am so grateful for these students because they wanted a group photo before they went home. Because of this I now have a picture above my desk with Margaret and our family. I cannot begin to express how much Margaret will be missed, not only by me but our “family”. Working with the Wilderness she was able to touch so many lives and they are all much better for it. Her work eithic and strength are second to none and I am so grateful to have gotten to work with her for these past 6 months.

I just want to say that my grandmother was the best grandma a kid can hope for. She never forgot christmas or birthdays, she would call me just to say hi. Once she even tried to teach me how to play golf. I will never forget all the special one on one time we shared. Im heartbroke over her passing but know she will always be an angel on my shoulder. I love you grandma. – Christopher Boser

I had the pleasure working with Margaret at the Wilderness for 10 years. She was an inspiration to all that worked with her. The courage and the fight she had was amazing. She dealt with mother nature on a daily basics and kept pushing out. I will miss the conversations and the weekly visits she always had a story to tell about the days events. We always knew when Margaret was in the area you would hear her keys jingling. I will hear them keys again one day I know I will. Her job was a challenge everyday and she handled it like a champion. Thank you for looking after my units for all them years couldn’t have done my job without you. We will miss you always. Property Management Team at the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort. Our prayers are with all of you god bless.

Margaret and I first met about 24 yrs ago when she moved up to Friendship. We worked all those years ago together at Hardee’s. We enjoyed camping together and shopping. We would laugh like a bunch of school girls, the kind when you start you just can’t stop. She was a proud Mother and Grandmother and Christmas was her favorite time of year. We shared a lot of stuff over the years, happy and sad but nothing was as special as her friendship to me. I love you Miss Margaret , We’ll forever miss you .
