  6. Peggy / Pixie Brennan says:

Lois & I both grew up in the west end of Grand Rapids (and where I currently live). I remember her as a very kind person. I wish I could have stayed in contact with her over the years & that she could have had a longer, healthier life. Nobody deserved it more. I said a special prayer for her last evening when I took a walk on the neighborhood street where she lived back in those days. She is remembered fondly by the GRHS Class of 1964. Peace to all of you. Pixie Brennan
P.S. I’m sure she was an amazing wife, mother and. especially. grandmother!

Glenn & Family My sincere sympathy for the passing of your dear Lois. I know Lois had a rough time of it these past several months, and her loving family was always there for her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

  10. Lynn Valtinson says:

My deepest condolence to Lois’s family…Glenn, daughters, sisters, brothers and extended.

Although its been many years since I last saw cousin Lois, I have fond memories of her when we saw each other in our youth. That contact was lost due to life and distance…and I blame myself for that. However, when my brother died three years ago, Lois reappeared
with her love and comfort and we have since maintained a correspondence for which I am very grateful. She was a beautiful, thoughtful, caring and loving woman who will be deeply missed. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time. May they find peace in her memory. She is now at peace…free from pain…and with loved ones who have preceded her in death. I’m sure her sister Joyce, who passed away only 6 months ago and whom she loved dearly, was there to welcome her when she crossed over.

  11. LaVonne Scott says:

She is at peace after a long struggle. Rest well Lois-you fought a great fight.

  12. Theresa Dolata says:

I am not sorry that your mother died. Instead, I feel quite honored that she chose to enter the next part of existence on my birthday. She was a strong, compassionate, nice woman who endured a chronic disease for years. She survived to see all of her grandchildren grew up into their teens. She survived to see both her daughters get married.

You should feel blessed that you had her as long as you did. Even with the ups and downs in the life God gave her, I still think she say to God ” Yes, I had a good time with the life you gave me. I learned from others. I taught others. I gave of myself to others and received from others.”
    She is at peace.
